Volunteer Policy

Swim meets are the opportunity for our swimmers to be rewarded for their hard work in practice. Not only do they get the opportunity to race, but they also have time to be with their friends while cheering on their teammates.

In order for our children to have that experience we need your help. It takes over 70 people to run a safe and efficient swim meet, which requires the help of every swim family during the season.

Volunteer Requirements and Guidelines - All families must sign up for 6 volunteer shifts before they can complete swim team registration. Should you be unable to come to the meet to do your volunteer shift after the sign-up is locked, you must find someone to replace you and contact the volunteer coordinator and Parent Reps to confirm arrangements. If you are not signed up for 6 shifts in the system by June 7th 2026, then your child will not be able to swim in future meets.

If you are part of pre-team without an older sibling on the team, please contact the volunteer coordinator and Parent Reps to confirm if volunteer points need to be filled.

All families will be required to assist in clean-up after one of our home meets.

2026 Clean-up assignments:

June 10th Twin Hickory at Fox Hall Last names A-H

June 17th Kings Charter Atlee at Fox Hall Last names H-M

June 24th Atlee at Fox Hall Last names N-Z

Once registration closes, the volunteer coordinator will divide the swim team households into three groups (for example, A-H has first meet, H-R 2nd, etc). Each group will be assigned one home meet to stay for clean-up. A reality of outdoor swimming is the weather.

Rain delays can happen and you are required to complete your shift if the meet is suspended and then continues later that night. Also, if a rain delay causes the meet to be postponed to the following night we ask that you do your best to stay in the volunteer shift you registered for the meet. If you are unable to attend the meet on the postponed date, you will need to sign up for shift at another meet.

*Families with Graduating Senior Swimmers do not have to volunteer unless you also have a younger child on the swim team.
