Meet #5 this week AWAY at Ashcreek July 1st

This week's meet is on Wednesday July 1st at Ashcreek, I will be out of town for work, but please reach out to Linsey if you need anything!
Ashcreek details:
Meet Date and Time: July 1, 2026. Meet begins at 6:00 p.m.
Rain date: July 2, 2026 (more information to come if needed)
Location: Our pool is located at 10854 Linderwood Dr., Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
Pool Specifics: Our pool is measured in meters and has 6 lanes. The start end of our pool is about 4.5 feet deep and the turn end of our pool is about 3.5 feet deep. This means that swimmers can dive in the start end, but 2nd and 4th legs of 8 and under relays will need to start in the water.
Parking: Our team reserves the parking lot for the visiting team. If additional parking is required, families may park along the main road as long as they don’t block intersections or driveways.
Seating: Seating for the away team is located on the right side of the pool closest to the parking lot. You may also use the right half of the awning at the far end. Please bring deck chairs for your use. Please inform your swimmers and parents that the clubhouse, playground area, and baby pool are off limits during the swim meet.
Check-In: Please have your team begin check-in no earlier than 4:30 pm. Check-in must be completed by 5:00 pm. A table will be set up outside the pool for your check-in.
Meetings: Timers, officials, and clerk of course will all have meetings at 5:30. Timers: Meet by the slide Officials: Meet outside the pool gates Clerk of Course: Meet at the clerk of course benches.
Computer: Your computer entries should be given to our computer rep at least 1 hour (5 pm) prior to meet start. Please bring a backup copy of entries if they were sent earlier. Our computer area is located inside the main room of the clubhouse.
Warm-ups: Your team will warm up from 5:15-5:35. Ashcreek’s warm-ups will be from 4:50-5:10.
Clerk of the Course: The Clerk of the Course is located to the left of the entrance to the pool. Our community has added an additional gate to our pool, so we will be blocking off Clerk of Course completely. You can use either gated entrance to get to the concessions and deck. Please do not cut through the Clerk area.
Starter: Our starter is on the right side of the pool. Your swimmers who are not dive block certified will need a “X” marked on their right shoulders. Please bring your starter mechanism charged and ready in case of an emergency.
Concessions: The concessions are located outside of the fence area just past the bathrooms on the left and will be serving food beginning at 5:15 and will continue to sell until approximately 9:00pm. Our concession will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks, candy and drinks. Kona Ice will be located in the circle drive in front of the clubhouse. *Concessions can accept cash, cards, and venmo.
There will be a tent misting water for swimmers to cool off. It will be just past concessions near the tennis courts. We will also have containers of ice water to refill usable water bottles.
Weather: Per GRAL guidelines if there is a sighting of lightning or hearing of thunder, all participants must clear the pool deck and wait in the parking lot or their cars. Only Parent Reps, Meet Director, and the Pool Management will meet in the clubhouse to make a decision about the continuation of the meet.
**If the meet is stopped at or after 10:30pm the meet WILL be postponed to the rain date. If the 8 & under relays were swum then the 9 & older relays can be swum on the rain date.
